Our Story

The Beginning:

Our journey began in the aftermath of the 2008 U.S. financial crisis.  Two college graduates, each leveraging their software engineering skills and corporate experiences, founded the firm from their apartments. They identified a crucial market need: nonprofit support and government spending had significantly dwindled, driving demand away from costly, proprietary enterprise technologies.  This shift sparked a move toward free and low-cost open-source-based solutions. Thus, Acuta Digital was born. 
 


The Now:

With offices in Pittsburgh and New York City, Acuta Digital has partnered with nonprofits, public agencies and businesses throughout the U.S. and beyond. Our digital muscle, our team,  consists of specialists in user experience (UX), graphic design, business & marketing, front-end development, custom software and infrastructure.   We commit to acting as a true partner to all our clients, not just a one-off vendor.  This commitment is what sets us apart.
